There is NO difference between an old fashioned TV antenna and an HDTV antenna! If you are using a TV antenna now, it will continue to work just fine in 99% of all cases... on even more channels! Pre-amplifiers on these antennas can help channel reception.
What's NEW is that HDTV signals are much clearer than the old ones. All you need is a Converter Box for each TV unless its new: 2007 or later. Converter Boxes are built into all new TV and HDTV sets.
